چکیده
Post-harvest fungi attacks in storage can reduce the quality of Arabica coffee. The study aimed to determine level infection and types post-harvest coffee beans their quality. research was carried out at Phytopathology Laboratory Plant Pests Diseases Department Seed Technology Agronomy Department, Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Andalas, Padang, from June August 2021. detected using blotter method. Physical determined based on percentage defects, classified according Indonesian National Standard (SNI). samples were taken three collectors each central districts coffee, West Sumatera province (Solok Selatan, Pesisir Lima Puluh Kota) one sample Solok Radjo Cooperative as a comparison. results showed that attacked Sumatra belong Aspergillus genus, namely niger, A. flavus, ochraceus. highest attack Kota (63.67%), lowest (27%). fungus with rate niger (38.83%), flavus (0.53%). best found (quality 3), water content suitable SNI standards.

Equine poisoning by coffee husk (Coffea arabica L.)
BACKGROUND In Brazil, coffee (Coffea arabica) husks are reused in several ways due to their abundance, including as stall bedding. However, field veterinarians have reported that horses become intoxicated after ingesting the coffee husks that are used as bedding. The objective of this study was to evaluate whether coffee husk consumption causes intoxication in horses. RESULTS Six horses fed c...

This study considered the production economics of coffee in Pakuwa village development committee of Parbat district, Nepal. Household Survey was done in June 2014. Data collection was done using semi-structured pre-tested questionnaire administered on 40 coffee producers selected randomly. Gross margin analysis, profitability index and the benefit-cost ratio was used to analyze the production e...
متن کاملIdentification of 3-methylbutanoyl glycosides in green Coffea arabica beans as causative determinants for the quality of coffee flavors.
The quality of coffee green beans is generally evaluated by the sensory cupping test, rather than by chemical compound-based criteria. In this study, we examined the relationship between metabolites and cupping scores for 36 varieties of beans, using a nontargeted LC-MS-based metabolic profiling technique. The cupping score was precisely predicted with the metabolic information measured using L...
متن کاملGenetic Diversity of Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica L.) in Nicaragua as Estimated by Simple Sequence Repeat Markers
Coffea arabica L. (arabica coffee), the only tetraploid species in the genus Coffea, represents the majority of the world's coffee production and has a significant contribution to Nicaragua's economy. The present paper was conducted to determine the genetic diversity of arabica coffee in Nicaragua for its conservation and breeding values. Twenty-six populations that represent eight varieties in...
متن کاملStress metabolism in green coffee beans (Coffea arabica L.): expression of dehydrins and accumulation of GABA during drying.
In order to produce tradeable standard green coffee, processed beans must be dried. The drying procedure affects the abundance of relevant aroma substances, e.g. carbohydrates. Using molecular tools, the corresponding metabolic basis is analyzed. A decrease in water potential of the still living coffee seeds induces massive drought stress responses. As a marker for these stress reactions, accum...
